Series 65 Securities License Exam Prep & Requirements<\/h1><\/header>\n

Requirements for the Series 65 License<\/h2>\n

  1. Step 1:<\/strong> Prepare for the Series 65 license with STC exam prep
    \nShop Series 65 Exam Prep<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Step 2:<\/strong> You must be age 18 or older to sit for the Series 65 exam<\/li>\n
  3. <\/li>\n
  4. Step 3: <\/strong>Find a Sponsor or take the exam on your own
    \nIf you\u2019re taking the exam independently, you must create a FINRA account and file an exam request with FINRA. You may create a new account and register     here<\/a>.
    \nIf you\u2019re sponsored by a firm, your sponsoring firm will send your completed Form U4 to FINRA.<\/li>\n

  6. Step 4:<\/strong> Enroll in your Series 65 exam
    \nIf sponsored, complete form u-4. If not, complete the enrollment process as directed by FINRA after registering. You will receive an email informing you that you can now register for your exam. This is when you will want to order your materials from STC.<\/li>\n

  8. Step 5:<\/strong> Schedule your Series 65 exam<\/li>\n
  9. After you enroll to take the exam, you have 120 days to schedule and take the exam at a Prometric test center.<\/li>\n
  10. Schedule your exam on the Prometric<\/a> website or call their Contact Center<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  11. Be sure to review your exam confirmation email for your exam-day details.
    \nArrive 30 minutes before your scheduled exam.<\/li>\n
  12. Upon completion, you will receive a printed copy of your score report.<\/li>\n

  14. Step 6:<\/strong> Pass your Series 65 exam & get your Series 65 license
    \nYou must pass both the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, Series 6 or Series 7 and the Series 65 exam to obtain the General Securities Representative registration.<\/li>\n
